What I find interesting about OS X is that it is more limited than Windows out of the box, but can be configured to be less limited. More limited in a lot of ways compared to windows, but it works well, looks nice and gets the job done. iMacs use laptop hardware in most cases, so be careful when they say "i5!" and "i7!" because some of those are actually hyperthreaded dual cores from the ULP cathegory, which suck performancewise compared to their desktop counterparts. Before you buy anything from apple, I advise you try and make a pc with the same specs on pcpartpicker, chances are you'd spare a whole lot of money by getting that one. Other people will be of a different opinion, the above is my 2 cents on the matter. Most of the benefits regard stability rather than actual performance.
#PERGORMANCE LINUX VS WINDOWS VS MAC OS INSTALL#
There are benefits to the OS compared to windows, but you could very well install linux on your pc and have a system which is just as good if not better than mac os. I kind of see them having a place in an industrial environment where they can't manually build every single pc, but even then there are better solutions amongst OEMs. They're just plain extremely overpriced compared to self-built pcs with the same specs.
If you ask me, buying a mac makes no sense, at all, for anyone ranging from a consumer to a professional content creator.
